Eclipse

This is a gallery of pictures taken from Holliston, MA during a solar eclipse on April 8, 2024.

They are taken with a Nikon Z5, 70-300mm lens @300mm, film solar filter, and a Monfrotto 410 geared head on a tripod.

The apertures varied from f8 to f40. The shutter speed was 1/1000s. ISO varied as needed. Early photos were at f40 and the ISO was set to the maximum resulting in visible noise. Later pictures have less noise.
